Prayer Items November 20th, 2022

For Church Community

  1. God is at work in us and through us! May we find ways to serve and joyously participate in furthering His kingdom. May we intentionally love Him, love others, and make disciples.

  2. May we have the desire to come together in our prayers as a community. We pray that God will unify us with a deeper sense of belonging and involvement to bring glory to God.

  3. Pray for new and ongoing ministries (Scouts, the English class, After School Ministry, Bible Study Groups, Small Groups, etc.) to see people come to Christ and others strengthened.

  4. We thank God for our new deacon candidates that have accepted nominations. Please continue to pray for those that are still discerning their part. We also pray for the formation of the Church Council and leadership for 2023.

  5. Pray for people’s health as the winter flu season has begun. Pray for protection.

  6. Pray for an opportunity to invite friends, family and neighbors to our Christmas celebrations.

  7.  Pray for our students who are busy with assignments and exams. May God grant them wisdom and strength.

For God’s Kingdom

  1. Pray for the continued opportunities to bless our community and the world as followers of Christ.
    a.Pray for Christmas hampers and the toy drive. May we come together to bless families struggling during Christmas in Jesus’ name.
    b. Pray for opportunities to engage with new immigrants, neighbours and friends.


  2. Pray for the people displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.Pray for peace, healing and those grieving.

  3. Pray for our missionaries that they may have opportunities to share Christ and build up believers.

  4. May we embody the message of hope as we share with the world this year.
    a.Pray for the food banks as they face shortage of food and resources.
    b.Pray for people’s emotional health as they deal with mounting pressures surrounding them with rising prices, mortgage payments, and a world that seems more divided daily.
    c.Continue to pray for reconciliation and healing of the indigenous community.

Congregational Needs

  1. Pray for our online Zoom EM prayer meetings Wednesday at 8 pm. Pray that people will be encouraged to participate during this time of uncertainty in the world.
  2. Please remember in prayer our EM/YM Fellowships:

    Katalyst (High School):Operation Christmas Child Shoebox packing on Friday, November 11th and that this be a great time of engaging in God’s Global Mission for us as a Gym Night on Friday, November 18th and that this be a great opportunity for our students to invite their new friends to hang out with us.

    Refresh (Young Adults): We pray for our new Refresh groups and they be a place of outreach to new friends and strengthen our faith.

    Philia (Junior High):Gym Night on Saturday, November 26th and that this be a great opportunity for our students to invite their new friends to hang out with us.

    May we continue to grow in our faith through these fellowships.

Children Ministry

  1. Pray for Teacher Training, may God use this time to recruit and equip more brothers and sisters to serve Children Ministry.
  2. Children are singing 2 songs in Cantonese Worship on December 18, pray for a joyful performance.
  3. Pray for Children Fellowship SLB on November 26, we will have a Bible Study.
