WORKSHOPS FOR OUR GRADE 1-4 CHILDREN

This Summer 2021, we are providing children workshops with different topics. Every week, children can decide to join 1 or 2 or all of them.

Descriptions of the different workshops
Arts & Crafts: Is your child interested in Arts and Crafts? During this workshop, kids will engage in a few creative arts projects. Projects that will encourage the use of their creativity and fine motor skills. All workshops include a teaching component from the Bible.
Nature and Science: During this workshop, kids will discover and learn meaningful lessons through science and nature. Kids will engage in hands-on fun-filled activities such as science experiments. Science experiments provide memorable moments that ignite interest, command attention, and bring truth to life. All workshops include a teaching component from the Bible.
Arts & Crafts (Lego & Construction): This Lego-themed workshop is designed to provide your kids with hands on activities that will stimulate the child’s creative thinking. Your kid will build and learn in a fun, relaxed, and stimulating environment. All workshops include a teaching component from the Bible.
Health & Nutrition: During this workshop, kids will learn about nutrition and healthy eating. Kid will learn about eating and exercising habits. Kids might be asked to do simple fun movements. All workshops include a teaching component from the Bible.
Life skills & Character Building: The goal of this workshop is to help children become responsible, faithful, and purposeful Godly citizens. Children will learn skills by engaging in hands-on activities in a relaxed and fun environment. All workshops include a teaching component from the Bible.
Format: 2 workshops per day. 10 workshops per week. (For the short week: 2 workshops per day. 8 workshops for this week.)
How long: July 5-August 13 (Week of August 3-6 is a short week). Monday to Friday except for the short week (Tuesday to Friday).
AM Workshop: 10:00am – 12:00pm.
PM Workshop: 1:00pm-3:00pm.
Online Platform: All the programs will be facilitated through Zoom.
Fee: $10 per workshop. If you register for all the workshops for that week, it is $50 for that week. (Short week: $10 per workshop. If you register for all the workshops for that week, it is $40 for that week).
Payment Method: Cash or Cheque are accepted.
Mail or deliver cheque made payable to “Logos Baptist Church (Milliken)”. Do not mail cash.
Payment can also be dropped off when picking up the materials for the camp.

Request for withdrawal or any changes must be submitted before June 21, 2021. There will be a $25 administration fee for withdrawal, $25 for changes made to a different week(s), and $25 for switching from children workshops to leadership track or the other way around.
A Full Refund (less $25 administration charge) will be given if a request for cancellation is provided in writing before June 21, 2021. No Refund will be given after June 21, 2021.
Parents/Guardians are expected to pick up the materials. The materials will be available for pick up at Logos Baptsit Church (Milliken). More information will be provided after registration.
Lunch and Breaks:
Parents/Guardians are responsible to supervise their own children during lunch and break times.
Physical, Intellectual, and Emotional Safety:
Parents/Guardians are responsible to look after their children’s physical, intellectual, and emotional safety while engaging in the online activies provided by this camp.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to monitor the online activities; therefore, children are not encouraged to use a headset. Parents/Guardians should be able to hear and see what it is happening.
Parents/Guardians are expected to promptly respond to any accidental injuries children might incur during these activities.
Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children’s sickness and medication.

We have a set of expectations for our children. This list has been created for the purpose of protecting our children and our leaders.

Clothing and Shoes:
Children are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing for the activities.
Children might need to wear the right shoes for the activities.
Children might need to have the right amount space. This will allow the children to fully participate in the activities provided.
